MALT Officer Meeting Minutes, Sunday January 27, 2008

Order of Business:

 

  1. The checks for MALT members who had beers place in the Turkey Shoot have been mailed out.

 

  1. Membership dues are due.  We have successfully tested using PayPal as a means for people to pay their dues.  Everyone will be e-mailed with dues notification and a link to pay by PayPal or an address to send checks.

 

  1. The bus trip will be on February 23.  $30 for members and $35 for non-members.  We need to get a head count.  We plan to have 52 people on a 55-seat bus; the 3 empty seats will be used to store stuff.

 

  1. Anyone want to become a MALT officer?  Free beer!  C’mon, folks, throw your hats in the ring.  Maybe we should appoint Lauree or Jazs as president.  Hey, if Hillary can run...

 

  1. Anyone want to host the March meeting?  Jeff or Tim will host if no one else wants to.  The tentative date is March 22 at Tim Sauerwein’s place. 

 

  1. The treasur8y has $2502.

 

  1. Is there interest in MALT apparel?  Hats?  T-shirts?  Sweatshirts?  Negligees?

 

  1. The Guild will be holding another BJCP class starting in the next month or two.  It will run 11 weeks, once a week.  Class fee will be around $80 to cover the beer and exam.  MALT will reimburse your fee if you pass the exam!  There are two seats reserved for each club.  We will be polling members to fill those two slots.
